Renal Disease and Electrolyte Disorders Course – University of Colorado School of Medicine

This forty third annual course is designed to provide the practitioner with state-of-the-art information regarding the pathogenesis and treatment of a variety of disease states. Internationally recognized guest lecturers and members of our own faculty will give sharply focused clinically oriented talks on a range of topics.
1) Analyze utility of the furosemide stress test & other biomarkers in prognosticating the severity of AKI2) Identify the systemic ramifications and long-term consequences of AKI3) Evaluate efficacy of the new treatments of hyperkalemia & recent recommendations for BP goals in CKD patients4) Improve the management of hypertension and infectious complications in kidney transplant patients
5) Summarize and implement results of key literature articles of the past year in AKI, CKD and dialysis
