RA-UK/SonoSite Advanced USGRA Course – Regional Anaesthesia – United Kingdom / Sonosite

This two-day course is organised by Severn Deanery in association with Regional Anaesthesia UK – RA-UK (formerly ESRA UK & Ireland) the official UK national regional anaesthesia society affiliated to ESRA, in conjunction with SonoSite Ltd for training in ultrasound guided regional anaesthetic techniques.
PLEASE NOTE: ESRA Diploma – for further clarification, the Ultrasound Courses organised by RA-UK and sponsored by SonoSite are all eligible towards the EDRA.
This practical course is aimed at anaesthetists wishing to improve their skills in UGRA. It comprises of
. Ultrasound demonstrations led by an experienced faculty
. Needling techniques (in plane/out of plane) on phantoms and Turkey thighs
. Followed by small group (max 3 Per station) hands-on ultrasound scanning stations on models covering all commonly used regional techniques
. Cadaveric anatomy workshop.
The pre-course questionnaire will be sent 2 – 3 weeks prior to the course and is also included in the online pre-course materials.
Participants are limited to 24, with 8 ultrasound machines available to allow intensive training in ultrasound techniques with no more than 3 delegates per station and US-guided needle placement of in-vitro models.
This course has been accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for 10 CPD points and is also recognised for the ESRA diploma.
