NAPCRG Annual Meeting – North American Primary Care Research Group
November 12, 2016 - November 16, 2016
International participation in NAPCRG from countries outside Canada and the United States has been growing rapidly in recent years. The international contingent now comprises a substantial proportion of NAPCRG membership and meeting attendees, hailing from over 20 countries. The International Committee is fittingly headed by a New Zealander and NAPCRG’s strategic plan includes activities to engage both low/middle-income countries and industrialized countries.
What can you expect at the NAPCRG Annual Meeting? You can expect world-class research into clinical care, health services and health systems of high relevance to primary care providers, policy-makers, patients, and communities. You can expect to learn about theoretical frameworks and about methods for research, engagement and knowledge exchange. You can expect a great variety of quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. You can expect a safe, supportive and nurturing environment to present your work. You can expect to find colleagues with similar interests, tackling similar problems, with something to learn from you and something to teach you. You will also find community clinicians and patients who will want to know how your research will help providers, patients, families and their communities.
Many people find the NAPCRG Annual Meeting their most meaningful venue for networking, learning, and support. For that reason, I hope you find this year meeting fruitful. I also hope you will look into the many benefits and activities that NAPCRG offers throughout the year. Just a few of these include the Grant Generating Project, Special Interest Groups and opportunities to participate in NAPCRG committees and leadership positions including our Board.
