Ethical Leadership for Tomorrow’s Health Care Organizations – The Aspen Program for Ethical Healthcare Leadership
September 18, 2016 - September 21, 2016$1,200
Rapid change and shifting accountabilities present health care leaders with tremendous opportunities, but also important challenges. As health care becomes more integrated, complicated and personalized, forward-thinking leaders must adapt to an environment in which multiple stakeholders will have varying – and sometimes conflicting – role responsibilities, values and expectations.
In this 3-day retreat, we will explore how ethical responsibilities and relationships between governing bodies, chief executives, senior managers, clinical leaders and other key stakeholders in health care organizations can affect their ability to produce care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, patient-centered and equitable.
The program agenda is based on interviews with dozens of health care leaders about what ethical challenges are keeping them up at night now, which challenges are right around the corner, and what are the biggest challenges they expect their organizations to face in the next 5 years.
The course will help health care leaders achieve their own triple aim: high quality care, a successful organization, and professional fulfillment for themselves and for those with whom they work.
This executive retreat will examine real-world scenarios, research-tested best practices and effective leadership techniques to improve health care delivery in an increasingly complex and multi-cultural environment. Designed to help you achieve success in leading health care organizations through effective collaboration and teamwork, we will use case studies, interactive classroom exercises and small group discussions, as well as exposure to the latest research and most forward-looking thinkers, to help you evaluate strategies and test interventions for addressing the most challenging ethical issues in health care.
After 3 days in Aspen, this unique program will leave you refreshed, invigorated and excited to use new tools and techniques to achieve operational efficiency, create and support an ethical culture you and your team will be proud of, and grow your professional influence locally, regionally and nationally.
