The purpose of the Colorado Arrhythmia Symposium is to provide a forum where health care professionals can participate in discussions regarding therapies for patients with heart rhythm disturbances.
At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:
Apply the principles described in the latest guidelines for the management of atrialfibrillation for the management of atrial fibrillation
Identify appropriate candidates for ICD implantation and ablation of ventriculartachycardia
Identify appropriate patients who may benefit from left atrial appendage exclusionand understand the role of rotor mapping as part of an ablation strategy for thetreatment of atrial fibrillation.
Use of recommended programming strategies to prevent inappropriateICD therapy and targeted use of defibrillation testing in patients with ICDs
