CCrISP Instructor Course – The Royal College Of Surgeons Of England

The aim of this course is to develop the skills necessary to teach on the CCrISP® Provider Course. The participant’s existing knowledge will be developed using a background of educational theory and practical advice using material from the 3rd edition of the CCrISP® course.
This is an interactive course with opportunities for the participants to have hands-on practical examples throughout, including lecturing, small group workshop teaching, running moulages and assessment. Participants come from surgical, anaesthetic and intensive care backgrounds.
To be eligible for CCrISP Instructor you need to hold a post at ST5+ and have either participated on or observed a CCrISP® course, so as to understand the mechanics of the course. Some experience in medical education is desirable but not essential. Holding the CCrISP® qualification itself is not a prerequisite for attendance on the Instructor course.
