Breast Imaging Update – Harvard Medical School

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of radiologists specializing in breast imaging including early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. Methodologies will include didactic and interactive formats. Topics include Biology of breast cancer, diagnostic imaging options, interventional procedures directed toward breast care, management and treatment issues surrounding breast disease, controversial and cutting edge information concerning management of noncancer high-risk pathologic entities, and personalized risk assessment for potential tailored screening for breast cancer.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Integrate state of the art data on common issues related to breast cancer detection and diagnosis
- Utilize the available literature regarding screening and risk assessment to optimize their individual practice
- Model expert-driven management algorithms for variety of breast care needs
This course is targeted to Specialty Physicians who practice in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
